I am holding Bashful Brother Oswald's Dobro, which he called "Herman"

Os' played this instrument for over fifty years with Roy Acuff's

Smokey Mt. Boys. It is a model 27 roundneck model that was

always tuned in "A" , which adds to it's unmistakable tone.

I had the privilege recently of meeting Mike Webb, who is

the present owner of "Herman", and he was gracious enough

to let me play it . It was the only time that the hair stood

up on the back of my neck from my own playing !

Listen and watch Mike Webb talk about Os' here
